Sucker Punch (2011)

Sucker Punch everyone? This week I've watch Sucker Punch from the creator of Watchmen directed by Zack Synder and written by Steve Shibuya. It's an American action-fantasy. My first impression about the movie is that I thought it's about a dude get a Sucker Punch. You know what I mean? Like normal high school drama where there were nerds who got punch or something. Well guess what, I was wrong about it. So, until I watched the movie then I know what was it about.

Here it goes, it focus on a 20-year-old girl also known as "Babydoll" her nickname. Played by Emily Browning. She was  institutionalized by her stepfather at the Lennox House for the Mentally Insane after she was blamed for the death of her younger sister. There she met four other dancers; Amber (Jamie Chung), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), Rocket (Jena Malone) and her older sister Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish). At the place where they were put in, they were told to dance and in five days some of them might be sold to " The High Roller " by the Monster Blue for entertainment. So basically, Babydoll and the mates planning to escape before The High Roller came.

Moreover, there also some of the scene where Babydoll starts to dance and everyone in the room were amazed every time she dance. They didn't show the shot how she dance. But you can tell that whenever the music starts you notice she moves her body very sensual. While she was dancing, suddenly the scene switch to the other world. Where she finds herself in a mission. It's quite interesting tho. The outfit and everything reminds me the old days Sailor Moon.

Sucker Punch is superficial and erotic visual stimulation, much like the kind of experience some might have when they immerse themselves in a video game to do battle with the enemy. " cited Lisa Giles-Keddie

Next, I'll be talking about the Soundtracks. From the moment I listen to the music in the movie, I immediately in love with the song. Mostly the songs are kinda rock and mixed with some different kinds of genre also. Well, I guess that's all readers!
