Exegesis

For this unit Web Comm 10, we are told to choose any kind of platform such as Wordpress, Blogspot or Tumblr. Instead I choose Blogspot to become my web presence creation assignments. The reason why I choose Blogspot is because last time I ever created one blog using it. At that time, blog for me during that time is just for teenagers express what they felt and what they been through with that life. Besides that at that time I’m abit familiar with the blog seetings. After years past by I stop using it becaause getting less time to update things.  And so, this year I decided to it again for this assignment because I still want to learn more about the tools that we can use here .

My background for my blog that we can see that the tools that were use in film industry. That’s why my theme is about “ does the movies impress you? We’ll see.” Normaly when we wanted to watch the new movies, of course all of us wil be so excited and can’t wait. After we watched the movie, then we start to comment on it and also said out things that we don’t like to see in the movies. Then the topic about the it will keep on and on. That’s normal when you see everytime people copme out from the cinemas and talk about the movies. Moreover, we can even live if there is no entertainment in our life. One of my biggest challenge by doing this assignment is that I found out the Miri Cineplax have to close down due for construction. So I have to download the movie by myself in order to see it and update my blog. But then it was a fun process where you can comments and analyse the video also the actors and actress played their roles.

The widgets that I have been using for my blogspot that we can find is that there’s a Facebook Badge on the right site. Then I also used the gadget for how many people views my blog. Besides that i aslo include a Share It gadget where my followers can share any of my post. I also included a Shoutout Mix box for my followers to chat and comment about my post or anything. Plus I also included a gadget for my followers to follow my Twitter. They will get my updates there easilt for those who have Twitter.  Not to forget I also include a Blog roll for my Web Comm 101 classmates that took this unit. I include their blogs links so that I can go and check their blogs.

Black Swan

Black Swan (2010)

Black Swan is known to be physco thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky. The story is about a competition for the ballerinas to be selected to play the innocent White Swan and a sensual Black Swan. Nina played by Natalie Portman which star alongside Mila Kunis where she played Lily and the legendery and veteren ballerina  Beth MacIntyre played by Winona Ryder. As Nina too focus getting the role that every ballerinas love to take part untill she finds out there's the darkside of her that she would never thought it would be.

 

So far the movie is interesting. Some of the part i don't understand but Natalie deserve getting a Globe awards for this one. Never expect she can dance and look like a pro-ballerina. Not to forget Mila, she's good in acting but can't really see her well in the movie. Some of the confusion that I found in the movie is that where Nina actually caused her death herself. But it was a very dramatic way of dying where you actually stab yourself but you don't even realize it. Besides that, I love where the part Nina perform the Black Swan where her eyes turn red menas that her egoi has come out. She dance gracefully and the music somehow terrified you. Anyways, sometime ego can appear when you really want something.

Burlesque

Burlesque(2010)

Directed by Steve Antin star Christina Aguilera and Cher. It's a musical drama where it focus on a small-town girl called Ali played by Christina Aguilera with a huge voice. Dealing with all th hardship and trying to pursue her dream at LA. Then she stumble upon upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue. So let see if her dreams really come true. The dance the outfit and everything tells you it's all about being confidence and sexy ladies!

I think overall the movie is quite interesting for me. As Christina played the character very well and it does suit her. With her powerful voice she does look very fit to act. Not to mention it was her first role in the movie. Not to forget the amazing Cher that still can sing and so energetic performance by her. Also I love the dance in every scenes that was on the movie. It feels like giving woman to be confidence and sexy. Besides that the message that I can find from the movie is that one have to listen to others opinion because it might change something. Friendship is also part of it where Ali and Nikki (played by Kristen Bell) got into a wrong feet and in the end they consult and become friends again. All the jealousy sometimes we have to throw it in order to have a better relationship. As for Jack (played by Cam Gigandet)  known to played James in Twilight, we can still see him as the guy from it. Anyway, he still played the role well.

Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood (2011)

The title says it all, it's not typical story that we heard where Little Red Riding Hood went to her grandma's house and found out there's a ware wolf in the house. The film was directed by Catherine Hardwicke which known for directing Twilight. Basically the story is a bout a girl called Valarie played by Amanda Seyfried and a boy name Peter played by Shiloh Fernandez. They decided to ran away from the village until a sirens kept them plans canceled. 

The movie is not that bad anyway, what I expect to happen did not happen and it happens in a different way. Other than that, Amanda Seyfried play an amazing job in her character. While Shiloh Fernandez does look like Robert Pattinson from Twilight. At some point, some of the parts of the scene quite hard to understand. 

Overall, I'm quite disappointed with the movie. Because we normally expect something like the folks Red Riding Hood story. But it turns out in a different way.
